When it comes to dieting and your fitness, I know you often feel like you’re starting fresh every Monday morning, and end up in a vicious cycle of on off dieting week in week out.

I always say whatever happened at the weekend, the night before or just the last meal you had that may not have been the best…

It doesn’t matter, it’ how you deal with it and move on.

If you find your contsnatly in a viciuso cycle, then here are some of my top tips for hitting the ground running, every week and getting the results you want:

Plan your week… SIMPLES.

Grab a pen and paper, open a spreadsheet or your phone notes, whatever works for you. But plan what you want to achieve over the next week and how you will do it. It all sounds very boring, I know, but you’ll get to where you want to be 10x faster by doing this every week.

It depends on what your goals are, but here are some examples to help:

  1. Write your workout programmes and plan when you’ll get them done.
  2. Look for quick healthy recipes, plan when and how you will cook them, write a shopping list and get those cupboards stocked. Check what you have planned, as you might need to play around with your calorie intake, if weight loss is your goal.
  3. Schedule in time to take for yourself – whether that’s 10 minute meditations, a massage or some reading, pop it in the plan.
  4. Whatever your goals are, write down 3 things you will focus on and how you will get them done this week.

That’s it. Simple but effective.

Last week I spent more than half a day planning content with my assistant, it then only took couple of hours to put everything together! Planning may seem like an extra thing to add to your never-ending to-do list, but I promise you it is all in the planning… you can’t afford not to do it. It’s gonna make actioning the plan a lot easier, quicker and cause less overwhelm when you’re in the throes of a crazy week.
